Of the bass that I have kept, 3 monos, 3 orinocensis and recently 5 ocellaris my orinos are far and away the more aggresive of the three types toward each other. Has anyboby elsa found this to be true or are my 3 just nuts?

The orino's should be more aggressive then those other types..

they are, do you keep them?

Not now, I've had a couple smaller ones before. And just from what it seems like everyones general experiance on the forum azuls/orinos are the more aggressive pbass and seems many people agree that aggression goes:

Most aggressive
Azuls
Orino
Tems
Ocell.
Mono's
Least aggressive

I didn't put lower amazons or intermedia in there because I don't know where they fit in that scale.

I've had/have
2 azuls
4 orinos
6 tems
a few monocs 1 big
and a tem hybrid.

The one of the 4 orinos that I got a while ago was the most aggressive of any that I've had. Once he hit about 6" and was in a 90g he had no more issues. When he was very small, he beat the CRAP out of the two azuls he was with. The azuls showed a little aggression toward each other, but nothing compared to the orino. The 3 small orinos I have right now have never shown an ounce of aggression toward themselves, 3 prochilodus (bigger than them), a group of 7 clown loaches, a niger and a payara.

It really just depends on the particular fish... not necessarily the sp.

I agree with Kevin... I'd put LAs(pinima) under the catagory of Temensis considering they are pretty much the same except the location of where they are caught.
