Measure twice move once

so this morning i was eager to get on and move a 30G, to be sold on and then pick up a van and head out to collect 2x 150G and a stand, tank almost brand new less than 3 months use and the stand the same. got them for a steal the other night but needed hands to help lift them so arrange to collect today.

plan is to use one as a permanent home for the fahaka and the other will be for a step up for the goonch, then i may use it for SH once the cats moved on.

so had a spot in the house sorted, got the 30g emptied and moved collect them brought them home figured i would test fit the stand first. well wife was not happy with a limited 2ft walk way hahaha so after head scratching i loaded the stand back in the van and we moved them to my storage which is away from the house and no power.

they will come back but before they do, i have to move my 4ft rack (both 55G planted tanks) to a different room and then put the new tanks where they are, nightmare should have been more ridged on the measurement and may be consulted the wife.

still at least i can work on the filtration now as all my tools are in with the tanks, normally i bring to the house what i need and always have to fight with something i have forgot so thats a bonus.

well here is my latest purchase just sat there.

that used to work years ago with the reptiles, i was always sneaking stuff in the house and finding new and exciting ways to apologize for turning cupboard, shelving units, general furniture into vivs. now after 16yrs of marriage she is wise to them all and i'm in for the quiet life now. happy wife, happy life lol.

and they will come in the house i just need to shift stuff around a bit hahaha

yeh i have been lucky recently but now the storage is full hahaha so im now selling off a few of my "spare tanks" lol. cant wait to get him in there.

Will you trust that stand? Looks like it is just screws keeping the top held up, without vertical supports under the frame.

There are alot of screws but I wouldn't trust the sheer forces bearing down on them.

it's held with these two before but i'll have a look at it and see it i can make it stronger, don't want to wake to find 300g of water on the floor.
