Measures for Bichirs

Hi MFK

I'm planning an aquarium for bichirs, maybe senegalus or endlecheri. This are the measures I can have: 70" lenght x 25" width, height maybe 18"? This are 137 Gallons, how many of each(senegalus or endlecheri) I can fit? I also what to add a Black Ghost Knife, it's possible?

i kept a black ghost knife with several endlicheri for a long time and the only issue i had is that the ghost knife is much faster at getting to pellets. as long as they are close to the same size you should be ok.
 
you could fit atleast 4 senegals in that for life and as for the endlis they get big but thatd last 1 maybe 2 for a while. the 18" tall is not terrible since bichirs arent really all that dependent on depth.
 
U want my opinion .... The answer to the sens depends on how Many other fish u want in there .... R u goin to have only bichirs? .... In my opinion if it is only bichirs u r going to have .... And the tank is 18" tall 30" wide 70" long .... Me personally would throw about 20 maybe 25 of the larger species in it lol but u would have to keep the water in check with water changes .... An my opinion they would do just fine until they started gettin past the 24" mark witch will take years .... If u r stickin to the smaller species like dels and sens and what not me I'd throw about 30 in it lol 30" wide is a lot of room .... Like a wise man told me once these r bichirs not aropaimas .... If u want some bichirs get em bro .... My tank is over atocked with bichirs and they do just fine they grow and prosper like they should because I keep the parimeters in check with water changes..... But keep in min if u throw 20 endlis and laps in there lol one day u will have 20 24"+ monsters and when they do hit that size u will have to sell a few or upgrade ... But I say again that will take years! Especially if u r buyin them between 1"-12"es .... This is just my opinion .... If I had a tank with those dimensions .... If be loaded down with bichirs I'd be lookin like framcosco haha

I can make it taller, but the tank is mainly for the bichirs, 20" or 25" maybe?

4 senegals are perfect! I like endlis but if I can keep them properly for life I better go for senegals.
