I was just curios how do you measure your bio media. for example someone who says they have ten gallons of bio media is that like a ten gallon tank full of bio balls? then how would you measure a canister or HOB? Ive just never know and cant find a sticky

I know people speak in/of Litres when talking about how much media their canister holds. So i think a litre refers to liquid probably meaning how much a liquid vessel can hold.Unless there is a dry measure for a litre?

When you buy 5 gallons of bio-balls, it comes in a 5 gallon bucket full of bio balls. Yes ten gallons of bio-balls would fit in a 10 gallon tank.

Thank you never knew. I felt kind of dumb asking
