As the title suggests, I'm wondering if there's some way to test how much dissolved oxygen is in the water column? We have kits to test for just about everything in this hobby, and I was wondering if theres one that measures the dissolved 02?

Also, what is oxygen in the water column measured in? Is it done in parts per million or is it measured in another way?

I don't have oxygenation problems, none of my fish are gasping, I'm just curious if/how its measured. :)

Thanks in advance.

I actually had a saltwater master test kit that included a oxygen test, but that was in the early 90's:)

Can you get them for fresh water? :)

There is a DO meter I used when working for a water supplier, I believe it is made by the HACH company. If I remember right it is not an inexpensive piece of gear though. And there may be others available like it through companies like Fisher-Scientific.

Thank you. While I'm not made of money I'm pretty good at saving. So with enough time, money isn't to much of an issue. At least I have an idea on where to start now. :)

They have a couple available online one is produced by salifert a manufacturer in Holland.

Nice. Link by any chance? My 'google' skills are horrible lol.

The test kit was sold by petsolutions for $22.99, check Amazon , or EBay.
