anyone has inputs on what I can use for mechanical filtration in my uniquarium 90 gal.
it has a built in filtration at the back but its more of a bio. water overflows and then passess through filtration.
I cant use an hob since the uniquarium has no sides where I can hang one. for canister, Ive been debating with fluval 406, eheim 2217, or just cascade or aquatop since I really just need it to clear up water and pick up fish poop.

Is there any room in the over flow of filter , for adding filter floss or foam pad?

Yes theres a lot of room for filter floss.. but that is not the problem. The tank is 24"tall so the poop in the bottom is not really sucked onto the overflow or overflowing.

Maybe add a power head directing flow towards the bottom so it will help circulate the waste on substrate. You don't have to have the power head operating all the time .:)

Nah.. if it will circulate the poop but will not go to the overflow I guess it wouldnt help. Il get a canister. and improvise on how I can hang it to this..
