mechanical filtration

i have an 85 gal w/ a fluidized bed filter and under gravel jets, you guys think that would be good fitration if i simply added this?

or would it be better to go with a canister?

I think he meant to say, ''that can't hurt it any to put a lifeguard on it..''. I think he means it can't hurt to be over filtered.

I've decided against the lifeguard, but what do you guys think would be the best canister filter for an 85 gal tank to be used strictly for mechanical filtration?
