Mechanical Media

So I've been getting info from people here that you can re-use mechanical media by rinsing it.
But why do the micro or polishing pads need to be replaced every month?(or is that just BS too?)

because they clog very easily and once clogged and then cleaned it never really works as well as it did when new.

polishing pads always seem like a great idea to people who have never used them...They get over it quickly....

does it actually do a good job though?

if you look really closely I can see tiny-tiny-tiny-tiny particles floating around(my tank is not quite cycled yet..) but how can I get rid of those?

oh what the hell?! i thought it was because i'm too lazy to look it up on google.lol

i havn't seen literaly ANY American movies in a while..getting pushed into Japanese drama.haha
