Mechanical stage for Eheim 2075

For all you Eheim 2075 owners, is the mechanical stage for an Eheim 2075 at the top or bottom? I always thought all Eheim filters ran from bottom to top but i thought i read something where the 2075 is one of the few that runs from top to bottom?

If it is the professional 3 2075, the mechanical still goes in the bottom 2 trays. The top basket contains the blue filter mat for the prefilter.

I usually just download the owners manual for the filter model and find the answer there or pass info gleaned from other sources deemed reliable.

Obviously though, my personal experience is only with the models in my signature.
