I am making a DIY canister out of a 5 gallon bucket. I have a marine pure block I am putting in the bucket. I was going to add a pre-filter and then a layer of fish floss before the block. I was curious as to what else if anything I should put in the filter. I have some bio balls laying around but not a big fan of them. Let me know your thoughts... Thanks

Depending in how you make your layers/separations....I would put ceramic or scintered glass media in a laundry bag.
