Media for Eheim Pro 3 2180 Thermo

Hey all,

I am new here. Just moved recently and got my 180 set up. Getting an Eheim 2180 Thermo tomorrow from Foster and Smith. What I don't know is if it comes with any media. Do any of you know if that is standard in the box for that model? If not I will have to order some...

I believe the pro line Eheims do not come with media. They do come with 1.5L pre filter and 1 coarse and 1 fine filter pads. $500 filter and you have to spend $100+ more for media...I love Eheim, but I hate stocking up a new one!!
BTW, if you order through Fosters...buy the 5L for $99.99...extra 1L for ? shipping is the same.

Nope doesn't come with media unless you find some sort of offer, sucks but it's great when you have it up and running. I clean the pre filter every water change and leave the rest for months.

Foster smith sells the media separately for $150. I got the 2080 from them.
