Media for new Canister

Good evening all,
Just ordered a Fluval FX6 canister & Im wanting to know what media are best.
I'll be running along with this a C-360. Im thinking of just having Biological & a polisher pad in the C-360. What would be best suited in the FX6?

I have an fx5, this is my media order kepps my 120 pretty pristine

Bottom tray-marineland filter pad material then purigen then polishing pad
Middle tray-marineland filter pad material then ceramic bio rings then polishing pad.
Top tray- same set up as middle. I have a 12-14" male jaguar, a 8-9" female jag, and a 12-13" gar.this filter set up with a circulation pump keeps it clear and all parameters in check

How often are you cleaning that filter ?

I maintain about 6 of these filters now .

Sandwiching pads would seem to make cleaning a chore ?

My order is simple and I can go a fairly long time between cleaning and tearing down filter.. Top to bottom :

Ceramic noodles, Eheim pro, Poret foam pads cut to fit.. All reusable

Once every month or so. Doesnt take long to clean and the extra pads have really made a difference in water clarity. Hasnt slowed down the flow.

I just purchased 2 used 405. what media should I use? and please explain. this is my first time with canister filters. still new to this. thanks

I thought the FX6 comes with media already. Might just need to add a little bit of bio-media, I use Pond matrix in my FX5.

Why filter after the media btm tray Matrix mid tray matrix with pad on top, top tray filter floss with pad on top.
