I have a AC-110 would like to add Seachem Matrix to it. How much should I use in the filter. I have a 75 gallon saltwater tank One domino Damsel and Yellowhead moray Would like to keep my nitrates down as much as possible. Not sure if I should use the matrix instead of the carbon that comes with the filter

Do you have a deep sand bed in your tank?

I've never used matrix, but I just ordered some, and hope it does what it says it does!
Good luck!

Oh, and I don't use carbon, ever. There are specific uses for carbon, like removing medication, but other than that, I don't believe there's much use for it other than to waste your money! (I think SW ppl feel even more this way about carbon, and I don't know anyone that uses it in their SW set up.)

When it come comes to AC101's, I place the sponge at the bottom.........On top of the sponge, I sprinkle a layer of biomax..........Primarily, I look at Aqua Clear power filter as a great mechanical filtration unit.........Of course, on any large tank the player needs biological, chemical, and mechanical filtration............So to take care of the other to catogories(biological and chemical), I build a DIY wet/dry sump filter, and sometime I use it along with a powerful canister filter............

That reminds me, the sponges in the AC's are really big. I cut mine in half lengthwise like this |----| to make room for more biomedia. AC's have a lot of room for bio, which is why it's the only HOB I'll buy. I'm sure there are more expensive HOBs out there, but I'm also frugal :)

get de*nitrator if you want to reduce nitrates

I don't use chemicals.
