Anyone been using Bio Home plus Media. I have some in a Eheim but I also like the Eheim Substrate round media. I know that the Bio Home media sucks up water quickly,but I am not so sure this test shows how good this media really is. It seems using the bio home plus does not shorten the nitrogen cycle at all. I would appreciate all feedback and all your options on this and other media. Thanks so much MFK members. I think this is a very important topic as it is the life support of your tank.

I have a mix of Biohome, Sera Siporax, and Cermedia Marine pure. I think the cheaper ceramic rings I replaced did the trick for less money. I know some of these medias claim nitrate reduction. But I believe you'd have to run it in a really slow flow filter with great mechanical filtration to see any significant amount of nitrate reduction.
