I have never used, or rather fed, medicated foods. So you can tell me I don't know watt-da'-heck I'm talking about. My thinking is, if the fish is sick, it is most likely not eating.
A lot of the time, maybe not most of the time, but a lot of the time the first sign of sign of illness is the fish refusal to eat in the first place. So I find very little sense in medicated foods.
