Medication and uv filters

Im going to be adding a TMC vectron uv filter onto my tank to help[ the built in UV filter thats on my external filter and have a fish that has what looks like fin rot (bought this way), ive ordered a new jar of esha 2000 and wanted to check that the uv filter wouldn't affect the medication?

I use API pimafix on occasion and on its label it says to turn off UV filters and remove carbon. So I'm sure the product you will be using will require you to do the same.
