Anyone have experience with this? I think I need to medicate a fish, and would like to avoid medicating the whole tank. Some people give dips/baths seperate.

How do you do this? I need to know at what strength of the meds, how long, and anything else you might know. Thanks

The fish flicks its body sometimes on gravel. Plus it has a clamped fin. The meds I have are Quick Cure, which is a mix of formalin and malachite green. Cures a range of fish disease.

Well, I am unable to get a diagnoses. Only symptoms I have seen for about 2 months are a clamped fin and the fish flicking itself against the gravel and objects. From what Ive read and what others told me, these symptoms sound like it has some type of external parasite. I dont see any signs of distress from the fish though. So I am stuck just guessing.

Dont rule out your water params cause thats what it sounds like to me, what kind of fish?

No other fish are affected. Water params are perfect, I been doing water changes every 4 days at about 25%. Gonna do another today. This problem hasnt gone away and doesnt look like it. I think it might be getting worse because I can see scrape marks on the fishes body. I dont wanna treat the whole tank because of the danger the other fish may be in, one is a BGK and I dont want it to die.

I got plants too, and I also dont want any staining from meds. So I think a medication bath/dip would be better. But I dont have any experience doing this so I need some help with it.

I should also say the fish has been showing some other symptoms such has hiding and laying on the ground sometimes. Its hard to say whats going on, but from what Ive read, these symptoms sound like its got an external parasite. These are the only symptoms I see and they are listed on several external parasite symptoms.
