Hey All,

Had a couple of questions given I don't trust the labels half the time on the bottles these days, and my LFS has given me wrong information in the past.

1) Is Prazipro safe for catfish & plants?
2) Anyone know the dosage rate for 'Copper Power Green' for catfish? I use it on account of it having extremely low precipitation but have always avoided its use on cats, recently I was made aware they can tolerate lower levels, will this still treat most external disease?
3) If neither of the above are safe for cats, what would you recommend to effectively sterilize a tank on a broad spectrum?
4) If feeders are kept in copper treated water for a week, but netted and washed before going into the display, can they still cause any type of copper buildup long term?

Background: So reason I am asking this is we have a 40 gallon open topped tank that's some aquapod like design we used to have a small planted tetra tank in, months ago our non verbal child threw something into it and long story short the environment went to hell in a matter of days, plants all mostly died, massive fungal outbreaks, etc. I changed most of the water but the fish continued to get fungal infections with the red tracing around them, ich, and a few diseases I have not seen in over 25 years of fish keeping in my own stock. I have kept the 125 nursery fairly clean and it has a wooden top, but I forgot the one vulnerable point in that the locks I installed on the doors to secure the sump had rusted and were not replaced yet. Long story short he managed to sneak a floating plant that had survived into the sump when I was talking with the wife in the other room, skip to a week later and I am already seeing ich and what appears to be a fungal outbreak on a couple of the feeder fish so given who knows what else has now gotten into this tank I figured I would hit it with a sledge hammer medication wise. This whole thing kind of sucks to be honest because I had also just figured out the quarantine rotation for treating feeders before they go in.

1.Prazipro is safe for catfish and plants.
2. 1oz per 20g.
3. Prazipro is safe if directions are followed. Copper is safe too by following directions but also checking copper levels during treatment.
4. Think it shouldn’t but it will be a very low level. Check with a tester after treatments.
