Hi all. I have just purchased a couple of Tigrinus from a vendor here and placed them in a community tank. A couple of discus' are showing symptoms of either hole in the head or gill flukes.

I have read that Tigs are extremely sensitive to medication and was wondering if anyone here knows what medications is suitable to be used with them. I am either going to be using metronidazole or prazipro.

If anyone has had any experiences with meds and tigs, please advise.

Thanks!

Sounds like you want to treat the Discus and not the Tigs. Why not put the Tigs in another tank so you can treat the Discus? Why take the chance of loosing a Tig?

Thanks for your reply. I've had the discus for years and have had no problems until I added the Tig. After quarantining the Tig for a week, I added him to the tank with discus. It's making me wonder if the discus got something from the Tig. So I was thinking that I could try to medicate everyone in the tank to prevent future complications.
