So I have a 100g freshwater setup with 6 fish that’ll grow quite large in the next few years. They’re currently around 5” in length right now. I’m looking to ad either a bottom feeder or algae eater of some type. I don’t have an algae problem and I know from the past they have lots of waste so is it worth enjoying them on the glass to get one?? Or maybe a catfish... never had one of those before.

Thanks in advance!

What do you have in the aquarium?

I have a red belly pacu, Jack Dempsey, 3 albino tinfoil barbs, and a ropefish. With plans to get an arowana once my aquarium store gets one in for me.

I suggest not getting a Arowana your aquarium is too small. The Pacu will outgrow the aquarium over time. Personally from experience Silver Aro's grow fast that aquarium will be over crowded in 6 months with the stock you already have.

I wasn’t planning on silver arowana and as far as what I’ve been reading there was smaller types that are available. As well as possibility to upgrade tanks or even sell as there are lots of hobbyists in my area. Also upgrading the pacu isn’t a problem as I have ponds once it’s that big :) just looking for a bottom of the tank fish that might be recommended
