Medium schooling fish

I want to add a nice school of fish to my 7' 200g tank. It'd be nice to have my community fish dotted throughout the tank, and then a nice school (or two) swimming back and forth.
I need some medium fish that aren't nippers and are big enough to not get eaten(my rescue guppy recently disappeared from the tank...)

Here is the current stock:
Dragon/violet goby-x2, Pictus Catfish, Common Pleco x2, Cory Cat x2, Red Tail Shark, Iridescent Shark, Golden Gourami, Angelfish x4, Paradise Gourami, Yoyo loach x4, Oto cat, some platys.

I had thought about bala sharks, but not sure how they would do with the others.
Rainbow fish are plain.
Barbs are to nippy for the angels.
Tetras may eventually dissapear when the ID gets a bit bigger(he's only 8" now)
Danios are plain.

Any good suggestions?

tinfoil barbs would fit the bill.

generally totally peaceful and not nippy, although they will get 12-14" so if you have smaller tetras or your platties have babies they will eventually be eaten.

coppernose barbs and pink tail caelceus would be nice in that tank

My angels keep the platy population in check (i've witness the fry eating eep!) so I'm not worried about that.
Could I do a school of 5 tinfoils and another of 5 balas?

yes but the tinfoils will grow much faster than the sharks will.

I have 3 tinfoils and 2 balas in my 150g. I had a third bala but it died after getting spooked and smashing into the glass. they can be rather high strung fish.

my tinfoils are getting up there in size, so be aware that yours will be monsters

I wish I had the money to drop on those, but not at $30-40/each!

3 balas and 3 tinfoils seem to be a decent number for a 200g tank.

In my area, I often see juvenile denisoni barbs for around $10 each. ThatFishPlace sells them on-line for $12.99 plus shipping.
