Medium sized C. lenticulata

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sounds like a great price id buy it. I would say no on housing them together. The lent will probably tear up the lepidota. Most of the time pikes don't like other pikes and will try their best to kill them. They can kill each other in a space of only a couple hours if they're really aggressive. Lents are know for being fairly aggressive. Good luck lets us know what you decide on! Lents very are beautiful fish

Thank you really appreciated. Really wanted to get one of this. I checked with LFS. The size is 8 to 9 inches.

I will update after putting and observing
behavior between them in the same aquarium.

Alright sounds good $40 for a 8-9imcher is great! just be careful. I wouldn't advise even trying to mix them... The lent will most likely hurt the lepidota... I had a inirida I and introduced it to a male punctata blue 33 and on their first lip lock the punctata grabbed the iniridas face and shook it around and held on to him for almost a minute...now he has a nasty face wound... I wouldn't advise even trying putting them together but it's up to you pikes really don't like pikes but you might get lucky but Lents are known for being aggressive so the chances really aren't good...

Finally picked one last night. Its a beautiful fish but yes its territorially aggressive. I have picked up some wood and piping to create some caves and hiding places.

I noticed when the guy in LFS was trying to pick one from aquarium, one was repeatedly trying to dive in gravel for hiding. I have not seen this before.
Do they hide or dig into gravel ?

Do they know what river location it was exported from?

I doubt they know anything about it. The guy was saying they get these few times a year and difficult to get as well and from south america.
