Medium sized fast grower

Hey guys

I am after a medium sized (no larger than 20cm) American cichlid that doesn't grow to slow. The fish will be living on its own in a 46 gallon bow front. Teh fish will be fed on spectrum, hiyakari pellet ect. With a highly varied diet. Things that I have already thought of is, salvini, Convicts, firemouth, Longamanis, elioti ect. Open to many suggestions guys.

For tankmates I was thinking maybe a catfish, and some Congo tetras? But wether or not they would hinder the growth?

Im very interested to see what is suggested. Ive got a 46 bow sitting empty out of state that I want to pick up soon.
 
Thanks for the suggestion, but these fish are not available in Australia, although they are in the country most likely the people who have them are not willing to share. As the list of importable fish is very narrow in australia
 
You're extremely limited in a 46 bow front. It's going to have to be something like a Salvini, Firemouth, Eliotti or something Cryptoheros. Basically anything that gets to the 6-8" range.
