My convict is pushing 5 inches, and is getting too big for his ornament that I have with him. I don't want him to get stuck in it, so I want to replace it with a larger hiding spot. I'm looking for something more natural looking, then say, a flowerpot.

Any ideas?

Go to the local rock quarry or building supply yard were you can get rocks for the garden. Buy two rocks with flat sides and a piece of slate or flat granite and take it home, wash it and build a cave.
Just make sure its stable, cant be under mined by a fish digging and isnt to large for the tank.

I like to put in 6-8" of substrate on one corner of the tank, take a 2 litre coke bottle cut it in half, take the part that has the bottom not the cap side, take the label off, move ALL the substrate in that corner out of the way so its just bare glass there, place a couple handfuls of substrate into the coke bottle so it sinks, place it in the tank where u want it and bury it so u can't see the bottle, now u have a 10" long cave by 5 or so inches wide, and its free :P
