Meds- Mardel Coppersafe ?????

I just saw one of my Cichlids have some white spots all over it's body. I used
MARDEL COPPERSAFE How good is this stuff ? it also says on the instrutions use 1 teaspoon for 4 gallons of water. treats water for 1 month. dose that mean i have to put that amount everyday for 1 month or that it's good for 1 month ?

One does lasts one month (not counting water changes).

I have never had much success with coppersafe. IME high quality food and water will prevent and fix 95% of all health problems. You also have to remember that fish do not get sick unless they are stressed. If a cichlid is sick it usually means at least one other fish is picking on it. There could be other issues but this is the most likely stressor in a cichlid tank. If you do not fix the stressor the fish will continue to keep getting sick.
