On a few of my larger 3"+ firemouths I've noticed that they have a small white extrusion next to the anal fin and they seem to be displaying darker colours. I assume these to be breeding tubes and these fish are preparing to spawn, can anyone confirm this for me?
I've also noticed that a couple of these fish are getting rather plump, would this likely be eggs or perhaps just over feeding?
