Meet Argus. :) 'Just' a mono, I think(?)

Monos seem to not get much attention on here. Figured I'd go ahead and post a few grow up pics of him though. Picked him up from the LFS back in April after one of their regularly flaky customers had him for all of two weeks. He was about 6" long...

About 11" long in June, still kinda slim...

And yesterday, now about 6 months since I picked him up. Senegal bichir's hamming it up in the left hand corner.

Hooray, thanks for having a look guys! I kept flipping back and forth betwen mono and ocell, and decided mono based on his eye color. I'll update the thread title then.

I am pretty tickled with him, he's my first pbass. I knew they were keen on people, but I've been really impressed with how well his vision outside the tank (and memory!) works. He makes everything else in the house (including the cats) look dumb as bricks!

Just giving a bump now that Argus has hit puberty and grown an attitude. About 14, 15 inches here. Managed to successfully move with him (her?) and get a 300 gallon set up. Working on growing up some lil pbass buds in a 75 gallon.
