On a recent trip to one of my LFS, I came across this sorry looking fellow. All of his fellow tank mates looked fat and happy but he was just sitting on the bottom ready to kill over. My nesting instincts kicked in, talked them down to seven bucks, and took him home. All he would eat the first week was beef heart. I could care less if it was enriched cardboard, he was eating. Finally started going for minced silver sides and is sniffing at the softened NLS pellets. He looks better everyday and is turning into quite a pig. I think he is an endlicheri or delhezi. I would appreciate help with the ID.

Wow, coming along pretty good. You have a bigger heart then me. I would have passed on that guy. Good luck!

Nice job on bring it back to life. Looks a lot better than that first pic. It's an Endli. You okay with those RCS becoming snacks?

Thanks for the ID guys. I was pretty sure it was an Endli but there is a lot conflicting information on the internet. I have three tanks with RCS and breeding all the time so he is more than welcome to them.

LOL! I wish I could say the same for my RCS. They've bred once for me and that was it. Most of them died off. I think I got 2 left, but I haven't been maintaining that tank as much as the other tank. I have some Amano Shrimp that had eggs, but looked like they never hatched:( I'm a horrible Shrimp keeper, lol!

How easy is it to breed them? I'm thinking about getting a nice colony going :)

Amano eggs only hatch in brackish water. I heard it's near impossible to breed Amanos...

Great job on the Endli by the way! He looks great! You can already tell it's an Endli over a Delhezi by the lower jaw protruding.
Just for future reference :) I respect fish keepers like you. I'm sure all of your fish are healthy and thriving.

nice baby endli! looks more like a worm in the first pic!
