Meet my new atf

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm thinking theres a chance of that...

What kills me is you're posting screencaps of the pics instead of the pics lol. I can't blow them up and see any detail because of that. It's either big eye or batf. I'm leaning toward batf as well, but due to the rarity I want to be extra careful. Any chance you could post the actual pics instead of screen caps?

And fwiw, those distinct white tips aren't a good look for it to be a brevis. That's a big eye thing. All the species can have white tips, but typically big eyes take it to 11.

Can't use the orange color to ID an atf. That dead fish is a regular old vatf, the scale counts have it. Stout vatf is used to explain a fish that is otherwise clearly a varf and which arrives with vatf shipments, but has a scale count that is wrong.

As to the white tips, look at the pelvic a d anal fins of the batf looking fish. Notice how they've got a distinct white tip? All ATF can have this when young, but big eye tend to have it in the most extreme manner. These white deals are what become hooks/streamers.
