Don't know if it will qualify as a "monster" LOL
Black banded leporinus
We call him "Zoomie". He will grow to be about a foot long. Trying to find another. Read they should be in pairs. Right now it is all alone in a 29L since it is only 3" right now.
Anyone else have experience with them? Seems from what I have been reading half & half, it's a personality issue with the fish. Some are ok with other fish, some are not. Not that this beauty will be joining ANY tanks anytime soon.

Had one many moons ago, minded its own business amongst bp, sd, clown loaches.

My research shows the same conclusion, it depends on the individual fish on how well they will play with others. Yours is certainly a stunner for sure.

Moved to Other Characins.

Thats what I've been reading for the most part.

New to forums...what does "moved to..." mean?

You posted this thread in General Aquaria Discussion, which is for "aquarium related subjects that don't fit into any other category". Leporinus are characins, so I moved it to the appropriate section of the forum, which is Other Characins. I always post in a thread that I move so the members the move affects will know what happened. :)
