My pair died this past winter. Male was about 12 inches female was around 8 inch.
They died after there first spawn because the window was kept open and the heater could not keep up the tank temp. Unfortunately this tank was at my mothers house because its too big to put in the apartment. So i did weekly visits to clean the tank refill the automatic feeder. etc.... i came home to most of the fry dead or dying. and my pair upside down but still breathing. I took what precautions I could to heat them back up slowly. without causing shock. But they were too far gone.needless to say about 7 of the babies from that tank survived. This is one male I call toussaint. the biggest of all 4 males i have now.
Believe it or not i had the bloat epidemic n lost about 200 fry. sold the rest n lost more with the parents. these are the cream of the crop so to speak. the sole survivors. They are eating bloodworms brineshrimp veggie flakes and a treat of dubia roaches everyday. Feeding video of the dubia feeding when i get back in. but heres some pics.
