I accidentally and thoughtlessly killed my Megalodoras uranoscopas (irwini) last night and it was all my fault. I was doing a much needed water change and, without thinking, I added 7.0 pH buffer without checking the pH first!! He immediately started to hyperventilate and list to the side in the throws of pH shock. I though "oh s***" and tried to put him in front of a low out-put power head to keep his gills moving, but to no avail
Such a noob mistake
I got him at a mere 2" a year or so ago and he was a beautiful 7.75".
