Megladorus Eating and growth

I have haid him for about 8 months but he rarelys eats'(that i know of) and has grown about half na inch is that normal?

i have one that is 6" now and 3 year old
but when i got it it was 2"

How big is it currently and what are you feeding. Mine generally lays around like a log until feeding time. Then he cruises the bottom of the tank and sucks up anything he comes across.

mine wont even move that much ill leave food before lights out and half the time its still there. Also i feed hjikari sinking catfish pellets and shrimp.

Might be because mine is spoiled. Gets chunks of fresh shrimp and fish. Will also occasionally swim back and forth through the middle of the tank. Hasn't gotten too much longer since I've had him but fatter.

I have one that sits in a little cave. I never see him, but I can take a piece of cut shrimp or a piece of nightcrawler and put it at the entrance to the cave and he will suck it up like a vacuum.

Mine would if there was a cave big enough. He sits with his head under a log and thinks he's hiding.
