Got myself a problem, bought what I thought was a pair of 18" ID Sharks, but have since found out they are Mekong Catfish.

I bought them from a chap who had them both in a 4 foot tank thinking I'd be able to find someone with a tank large enough to house them.

I know nothing about Mekong, other than they are an endangered species so finding a home from them is going to be tough.

I live in the UK, I have been told I won't be able to take it to a public aquarium?

ID shark is from Mekong river so they are Mekong catfish! and they are the same family with the giant Mekong catfish!

Oh I see lol
They are very pretty.
I would keep them a while longer if the wife would allow another 200G in the living room.

I got 3 ID shark in a 600G when I still in Vietnam, they don't get really big after reached about 2 ft they almost not growing at all! and they swim a lot, almost never stop!

So which ones are these, can anyone tell if they are Irridecents or one of the other species?

I don't think it's as easy to donate a fish to a public aquarium as many people tend to think. Public aquariums to have a certain standard to uphold and maintain.
