Here a report from top fishing guide Jean Francois Helias about a Frankenstein fish he discover in a Thailand pond.

" Knowing your particular appreciation for catfish species, I know you'll enjoy discovering that exclusive photo showing for the first time a cross "made in Thailand" between a pangasianodon gigas aka Mekong catfish and a redtail. The Thai fish breeders for the aquarium trade are known to be good at playing with species...that's a proof of their skills!

Though I do not agree at all with human interference and manipulation in fish breeding, I must admit the beast is kind of cute....

I do not think that catfish specie will have a future here because it is a violation of the Thai law to interfere with pangasianodon gigas, considered as a sacred fish."

1st pic is indeed rtcxparoon
2nd pic is rtcxsoribum aka rtcxlima
3rd pic tsn- i dont see anything 2 odd about those lol..who knows tho as brazil leads the way in catfish hybrids for food production, hopefully someone has seen that before. i was quite surprised rtcxsoribum is valid. so possibly a tsnxsoribum is plausible aswell or there just a bit gold. body shape looks pretty normal to me to be a hybrid.
4th pic is albino artc (asian redtail)

nice pics, i dont think ive seen a rtcxparoon that large...or light colored :)

I'm not one of those who goes crazy over a fish just because it is an albino,or whatever else they want to call it but that Asian redtail is quite nice looking.

There is no need to artificially create hybrids there. The waters in SE Asia have more exotic species than Florida waters from decades of tropical fish farming. Have you watched the River Monster series in which the guy pulled up giant Amazon fish from Mekong River. You can find more Red Tail Catfish, Arapaima and Sting Rays in Mekong than in Amazon, providing a perfect environment to hybridize.
