HI ALL

JUST A QUICK QUESTION ABOUT MELAFIX AND PIMAFIX
TODAY I TREATED MY TANK IT'S A 600LTR 6X2X2 WITH MELAFIX AND PIMAFIX TOGETHER GAVE THE TANK 60ML OF EACH,MY WORRY IS THAT MY POWER HEAD IS NOW EMITTING A VERY FINE MIST OF BUBBLES WHERE AS BEFORE TREATMENT IS WAS PUTTING OUT THE NORMAL LARGE SIZE BUBBLES JUST LIKE AN AIR TONE WOULD.JUST WANTING TO KNOW IF THIS IS NORMAL OR SHOULD I TURN MY POWER HEAD OF UNTIL TREATMENT IS DONE.ALSO IS 60ML THE CORRECT DOSAGE FOR THIS SIZE TANK ??

hmmm not very good with maths but it shouldn't affect your power head. could there be something stuck in it? if so, detach it, take it out and plunge it in the water upside down and if there is something blocking it that should do the trick, but the meds should not affect how i works lol.
 
IT WAS WORKING FINE UNTIL I ADDED THE MEDS AS I ADDED THE MEDS THE FINE BUBBLES STARTED AS IF THE MEDS CHANGED THE CONSISTENCY OF THE WATER,I HAVE CHECKED THE POWER HEAD AND THERE IS NOTHING STUCK OR BLOCKED.
 
hmmmm thats weird. well does it seem to be having an effect on ur fish? are they gasping or anything?do they look ill? coz if they don't then i don't think you should worry about that just yet. probably make sure u have another one in hand in case this one stops working, but i dont think it will. but just to be sure. sorry if this may sound a bit impolite, but could u not use capital letters? they are really making my eyes sore!

Totally normal....I turn the power heads off when* I use pima or melafix....

*I try to not use these anymore though....Salt, temp, starve.....Thats my method....
 
I don't know how capitol letters makes ones eyes sore either.LMAO
The fish are doing fine I was just concerned about the difference in the bubbles thats all.
Thanks for the help guys I will continue to monitor the tank as normal,The reason I dosed the tank is because my Datnoid has been flashing a bit more than normal,there is no sign of white spot or any other disease on him or any of the other fish.
 
are u sure he isnt just flashing coz u did a weekly water change? my pictus always does that when i change the water i think its coz i only add de chlorinator to my tap water.
 
Yup, Melafix / Pimafix will cause the airbubbles to be finer, it will go away after a day or so. I has to do with the contents in the solution and is a normal effect.
 
tottally normal...as well as a very active, peppery, smell..
