I was doing a water change on my 125gal tank. I took off the glass tops and put them on my counter about to clean them off. So I'm cleaning the glass lids and as I was turning one over to clean the other side, I cut my index finger. Maybe 2" cut, nothing serious, no blood, no harm.

As I got finished cleaning the tank, and the water was filled, I added all my chemicals and put some Melafix for some fin damage of my Peacocks fighting (you know where this is going...).

I scoop a cup of water, added the appropriate amount of Melafix (in the cap) and as I was pouring it in the cup, the cap slipped and I grabbed it with my index finger and my thumb, spilling some over. I noticed a little sting, but thought nothing of it.

The next morning I wake up and notice my cut practically healed up!
Lesson learned, Melafix does wonders on small cuts!!! :headbang2

Ya but now you have cancer, melafix causes cancer.

thank you for giving me a great idea for a new thread......... things that "will give you cancer"

as for the melafix...... you gotta think that our body repairs itself a lot better than fish, so it makes sense that melafix would work that much better for us. that being said, i wouldnt advise anyone use it on wounds even though i don't see much harm in THAT use of it

Thats friggin awesome that the melafix worked on you!
It makes sense too, since its an all natural product im betting that people used to use the raw plant matter and put it on cuts as a healing agent.
Anyone ever noticed how melafix smells neat?

Imagine if you drink it!!
Apperitif anyone??

lots of stuff that smells good probably doesnt taste good lol. ex- scented candles.
