Any advice on using melafix for a juvenile BN pleco with ripped caudal fin? Note: this is NOT fin rot, bacterial, nor fungal. I simply shouldn't have put him in my Tanganikan tank! I thought since all of the fish were soooo small, it would be ok but damn if the runt of the Gold Head Calvus group didn't make it his mission to terrorize my lemondrop. I pulled the BN out immediately and he is in a QT. I know pristine water conditions are the best treatment but is melafix contraindicated with a pleco. Im reading so many different things on-line so here--Ive gone to the experts on Monster....any suggestions appreciated. BTW, the pleco is very young; 1.5", is eating well and active. Just want to fix this fin so I can re-home him. Thanks.
