Hi,
Just wanted to address an issue with you guys about visible signs of a wound healing on my fish. One of my caribes, somehow got a nasty wound on its side from another caribe in the tank. so i put in some melafix and salt and raised the temp to about 86. when i did that, the wound started to turn white. it looks to me as though the wound is healing, but i want to make sure with you guys. The fish tends to stay in the front corner of the tank where the aerator emits bubbles. my other caribe is doing great. Can anyone make any suggestions? im sure he'll be fine, i just want to make sure. thanks in advance for all of your help!

so its day 3 of the melafix/salt treatment and the old skin has turned white and is falling off, but it is exposing a pink layer on the upper epidermal layer of the fish. Having no experience with wounded fish, I'm guessing that this is normal? He remains at the top right corner of the tank with no desire to eat, but seems to be aware of his surroundings. I'm not seeing any signs pre-mortum, but if there is anything else i can do, please let me know! thanks for your advice!
