Melbourne Photographer takes on Fish - feedback please?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hi, I'm a Melbourne-based photographer by profession but have developed a passion for fish photography - it's great fun and I love how each fish presents a totally different challenge.

I guess I'm the polar opposite to the photographers' addage 'never work with kids or live animals' - I've worked with both and no complaints here!

Seeing as I am approaching this from a photography point of view, I'm keen to get some feedback on my work from the fish-savvy (you?)

Please check out a sample of my aquatic photography at the following link:

Or the long way round is to visit my website www.emilyguyphotography.com.au - to get to fish go to Nature and then Fish Photography.

Thanks, hope to hear from you soon

Welcome to the site. :)

You take some lovely photos. Overall, you seem to have a firm grasp on the concepts and it's nice to see a photographer tackle fish.

I'd suggest that if you're looking for specific feedback, that you post in the aquatic folder or in the aqautic critique folder and see what kind of feedback you get.

Of course I'm going ot have to ask the question. What sort of camera gear do you shoot with? :)

My gear

As of recently I shoot with Canon 1Ds Mk III - I used to have a little Nikon that took great pics too though so I'm not a 'canon vs nikon' person!

thanks for the feedback and the point in the right direction - i'll follow up. I don't suppose there is also a forum for linking up with people who want a photographer for their fish? or are these forums mainly for the shooters? My fish photography job has just recently fallen through (through no fault of my own) and I'm shattered; I really enjoyed it!
