Hi, for any Aussies reading this there is the "Underwater Pet Expo" on today and tomorrow at the Melbourne show grounds. Look s like it could be interesting, lots of stands and aqua scape demonstrations etc.
I will go this afternoon. Might be worth checking out if you are having a boring weekend.

If there’s a Leichardti laying around and can be drop shipped to SEA I’d appreciate it ?

or at least post a pic ?

can you take pics? not sure if theres something similar here in brisbane.

Sorry, I had gone and come home before I saw your post so didn't get any pics.
Here's a link to their facebook page so you can check it out

It was pretty good, more trade oriented I guess. There was an aquascape competition with some "professionals " which was interesting. Bit annoying to see people build better tanks than I ever could and then strip them down 48 hours later. Lots of dry goods, ferts, conditioner and some plants and tanks for sale but no fish. I was there with my 4 year old so didn't really get the the chance to linger at the competition or listen to any of the talks as she was too restless.
I was hoping for more display tanks to look at but was told it's not practical to set them up for a 2 day event. My LFS had a stand, they said it was better attended than expected but no plans yet to do it interstate.
As it's the first time it's been done and was a success I reckon it might go interstate once they've worked out if it was profitable or not. I would recommend it if they hold one in Brisbane, just don't go with a 4 year old!

They've updated the Facebook page with the aquascape competition entries, definitely worth checking out.
All are amazing, if I was being picky I would say a lot of them are too similar to each other but I think that's mainly due to the materials they have to work with. It was cool seeing these being put together and sort of sad that by the end of today they will be pulled apart and no longer exist.
