figured I would post some pics of what I have been up to this weekend. Loads of fun! but not as many snakes as I would have liked....

did you catch the first 2 snakes in the wild?!?!?! wow! i try going in my forest and looking but i find none:( the most i ever found was an otter

p.s. is that cobra docile did it ever try to strike at you?

yes those were wild caught, usually on a weekend trip I can catch upwards of 50 snakes but this weekend we saw 4 and were able to catch 2.... it was that bad... Finding snakes all depends on when and where you look as well as a good amount of luck. Sometimes they just don't want to be found.

and NO that cobra is definitely not docile. I can't walk into the room without her hooding up at me. the female is much more calm than the male though because the male does not like to ride the hook and when I am trying to work with him it is like trying to pick up a puddle of water. every time I move him into his feed box he is an inch away from escape.... I always have to have someone with me when I work with him and because of the male cobra, I have had to seal the room completely including air vents and the space under the door so that IF he does slip away from me, he is still contained but I am taking every precaution to not let that happen.

wow your better than me with snakes and i could imagine the precautions :WHOA: good luck with them and i hope they dont ever tag you
