Hi everyone!My octopus mercatoris just had eggsSadly she will be dead soon after the babies hatch. Anyway I have a thread on tonmo in journel area.

Any recomondations on food for the babies.

There is another long thread on Tonmo about their babys and how they were cared for. Good job! I would have a octo tank but can't afford to finish it right now. But I am working on it.

Tonmo.com should help you out and I think they eat copepods as little ones I think...

Not to be rude but I don't expect many or any to survive due to the fact he hasn't read up on this previous to geting the octo. But there is a chance

I do not think a lot of them will survive too. There are not any hatchlings yet,but I will consider selling some.(well, that would be up to my parents)

How long have they been eggs for? And will the mom take any food in the cave? have you tried to offer her any? And have you read the thread on merc fry raising?

I have offerd food and she took it,and I have read about the fry care.She has had the eggs for about a week.
