I was excited to find my atros guarding eggs last night! I picked up 5 juvies from Jeff Rapps about a year ago and have been growing them out patiently. I moved them to a 75 about three months ago to give them some space to put some size on before moving them to a larger tank. I did a large water change Saturday morning and noticed Sunday night the the suspected female was in breeding dress. I didn't think much of it, as all accounts I have seen say these take a while to reach sexual maturity. Last night I got home to find the female guarding a small batch of eggs. They look fertile, and I've got my fingers crossed that I will be able to pull wigglers.
Here is a terrible picture of the female and the eggs. You can see them on the bottom of the clay pot.
