Mesoheros Gephyrus

I have decided to a 180 gallon Mesoheros Gephyrus set up and I had a couple of questions as information is scarce about these I know duanes has kept a couple of these I was planning on doing a group of 6 and wanted to know what genre temperament is like with other fish, the best food to feed them to make the blue and red pop, and how hard my they are

When I first got mine (at about an inch) I gave then a 75 gal, for initial grow out, until about 2.5".
They seemed very picky and aggressive with each other even at that size.

so I added some lemon tetras as dithers, but this did not quell the aggression.
I then added about 10 Guianacara juvies that were slightly larger than the Mesoheros, and this seemed do the job.
Within 4 months, all were moved to a 6 ft tank.
I took about a year to outgrow the Guianacara, and make 7".
