Ive had my threadfin acara in my refugium for a few weeks after he was badly beat up by my breeding severums. As of yesterday he looked near completely recovered--fins healed, eating pellets again--he was about to back in the main tank.
Well at some point last night he mustve lost his cool and smashed his head into a piece of ohko stone thats in there.
Hes now looking pretty bad, laying on his side on the bottom, but still breathing and lazily flapping fins. When i pick him up he comes back too briefly, swims just enough to get away and back to the bottom.
Dont know if i should wait it out for awhile or perhaps euthanize. Hate to do it as this is my last surviving wc rapps fish. Dont know of anything else i can do fir him if yall got any tips itd be appreciated.
