Hey all,

I am a newbie to reptiles, and have just had my 2 leopard gecko's for a month or so now. All is well, and there are extremley healthy, the only problem I have is that they keep crapping in their moist hide..... which is a pain in the behind.

How can I encourage them to go else where in their enclosure? They are in a 24" by 18" floor sapce....so plenty of room....

Change the humid hide. Leos associate where to use the bathroom at by a familiar smell. If you completly change the hide it should discourage them to use that as the bathroom.

Aaah, that makes sense....thank you. and thanks for the quick reply! :D

Yeah they usually go in the same spot. You could also try moving the poo into a corner of the tank you would like them to go. Then they might start going there because of the smell.
