Hey guys. I'm going to be building a metal stand for my 360 gallon tank (8x3x2). I'll be making it out of 1.5x1.5 square steel tubing 11gauge. I'm doing so to make more room for my sump I'm going to be installing. I drew up a picture how it is going to be made. The top left drawing is what the top will look like.

My question is , is my aquarium is acrylic. With all of my acrylic tanks I put a 1/2 thick piece of pink panther insulation foam underneath for support per say and taking out any unevenness etc. With me doing so, and having my braces running front to back every 22 inches along the 8 feet, (5 total) will I need to have a top on the stand? Or will the foam be alright alone? If so I can set a wood piece on top. But was just curious. :) thanks guys!

Oh! I forgot to add. I will be putting gussets on the stand also. 20 of them. Just for added support in the vertical beams. Especially the front. (Bottom left picture) it will have the 2 main beams with a gusset on both sides of the beams (top and bottom) and also all 4 corners of the front also. The back of the tank will have all 3 beams. Along with gussets. Just left the front with 2 beams and gussets so I can access the sump easier.
