Where the hell are the freshwater bulbs for Metal Halide systems?

I've read that freshwater plants need a Kelvin rating around 4,000 and anything above that invited algae and is a waste of energy. But the lowest I can find is 6,000: http://www.hellolights.com/156dhqiiw.html

Can someone point me to a place where I can order a 150W, double ended freshwater bulb PLEASE.

Are you positive? I read that freshwater plants like thre red end of the spectrum and thats under 5,000, over that is mostly blue which is for corals/algae.

I must make sure, because HQI bulbs are super expensive. 4 bulbs costs more than a flourescent hood.

plants in growth like more blue plants in flowering like more red buy yourself 6700k and you will be set that is the perfect spectrum for fresh water plants

red light does not penetrate water well. Useless to most aqautic plants.

yea 4,000k would work but it wouldn't be ideal and would make your tank look like someone pissed in it. 4,000k is for terrestrial plants, underwater the light spectrum is different and tends towards the blue end the deeper you get. you can grow easily grow plants with anything between 5,000k and 10,000k however there have been people who have grown plants with those ugly yellow 3,000k lights and even people who've had success with up to 12,000k or 14,000k. powerglo bulbs are a bit odd in that they're 18,000k but work great for plants.
