Can I use it on a 135 Gallon Cichlid tank? I have a 250 watt setup and a 400 watt setup.. I don't have any lighting on the tank yet.. This is my first tank in over 15 years. I am a noob for sure. Just don't want to fry my fish. I'd ather look at them then eat them..

Sell/trade it to a reefer for PC's or reg. fluorescent. The 250 may work, def. not the 400. Are the pendants?

What is pc abbreviated for? I'm a noob remember.. If they were pendenats you think it would be a different story? I could make them pendants.. I'm good like that. :D

I actually want to become a reefer as well someday.. I did the Cichlid tank because years and years ago, I was an avid fresh water kid.. Now I am an adult wanting to do some salt.. But, I thought I'd do a refresher tank with Cichlids.. Love them now.. But still want to do salt someday..

Thats a lot of wattage. Either light. You plan on plants? If not go fluro's and save a lot of dough. 2/250's would work for a planted tank given, they'd need to be at least 8 inches off the water surface. If under a hood you'll need fans either side too. 400's would be supreme for a heavily planted tank but, put your power bill in the $300-$400. range. Mine did. Its up to you.

PC = Power Compacts. They give off much, much less heat than the halides.
